Paul Sterrett Unbeatable?
Paul Sterrett again, with old pro Greg Gilbert unable to keep up...
Greg Gilbert came and tried hard, but the impeccably prepared machine so expertly driven by Paul Sterrett just blew him away. To his credit, Greg was driving one of the former Uncle Kal's Raceway TSRF rental cars, that had a hard prior life.
Sam Brown did a great job of staying close with another of the reconverted rental machines, as well as John Emmons with yet another of those!
Mike Steube had a bad race, losing it early and never being able to overcome the handicap. Gil Gunderson also had a tough time coping with his machine, but had a great time low-pressure racing. .
Philippe de Lespinay tried to run a heavier injection-molded Carrera Audi R8 body, making an attempt to seize on the potential 20-lap handicap, but lost it too often to be in contention even after the lap correction.
