TSR 1/24 Scale races, February 25, 2006

Second 2006 SoCal TSR Race to Paul Sterrett!
Paul Sterrett made no mistakes and edged the super-consistent Sam Brown by a mere lap, while Philippe de Lespinay brought his heavier but quite fast Tamiya-bodied Ford Mustang Probe to a close 3rd by a mere 6 feet.
Mike Steube had concentration problems and lost too much time watching, still got a deserved 4th and the point for fastest lap.
Paul also garnered a 2nd place in Concours with a superbly turned out Courage C60.
Rick Salvino drove his new BMW V12 LMP car to a sweet 5th place and had lots of fun doing so. The constantly improving Dennis Sampson is getting better in 6th place, still needs to keep his inner cool to get to a higher level with a very good car, that also garnered second place in the Concours.
Ridge Ellis is slowly improving both his driving and anger management, also winning Concours with a nicely turned out BMW V12.
We have been testing the 1/32 scale cars with both vacuum formed and injected bodies and have now decided the minimum weights, please check the rules for information.
Next race TSR Championship Race March 11, 2006, for LMP/GTP/GT1 in the 1/24 scale, this time for Class C cars (1/32 scale GTP/GT1/LMP). Better build your bodies now! Remember the minimum weights!!!

The chassis reflects the recommended reinforcing mods, but interestingly the guide pin is still all the way up front. Lots of lead to get to the minimum 150-gram weight! |
