The Tootsietoy models were the product of the Dowst Manufacturing Company of Chicago, IL. In 1934 it issues a new line of General Motors LaSalle models, a 3-window sedan and a coupe. Both were available a "straight" or "convertible" versions, the latter accomplished by an extra coat of tan paint on their roof. The laSalles are some of the most beautiful automobile toys ever created, and still have a large number of enthusiasts today.
