at the 2004 Chicago iHobby Expo

The booth was well attended, with the lovely Janice Rodriguez helping out with the many customers inquiries.

Philippe de Lespinay demonstrated the speed and handling of the TSRF cars over the 4' X 8' Carrera 2-lane track set for the show. Janice Rodriguez and Jack Marteville took care of commercial contacts and orders during the show. Dealers and the public alike were impressed by the performance and simplicity of the product offered. The new Limited Edition TSR Porsche 908 RTR was shown and driven on the track, with and without traction magnets, showing its versatility.

Most of the current TSR offerings were on display.  Many cars and chassis were on display, as well as many bodies adaptable to the TSR chassis in both 1/24 and 1/32 scale. Once again, the TSRF cars were the fastest and smoothest electric model racing cars shown at iHobby Expo.

The demonstration track was provided courtesy of Carrera. The small layout still offered a strong driving challenge to our visitors. The good manners of the TSR cars greatly impressed many, resulting in a large number of new customers and retailers. Scalextric, Ninco, FLY and Tamiya bodies were demonstrated on the TSR chassis in both 1/24 and 1/32 scale, as well as the TSR clear plastic vacuum formed bodies.

General view of the display booth. As the banner described, "truly superior racing fun". Most visitors agreed...

The new Limited Edition  Porsche 908 RTR sports a modified FLY body and a specially trimmed steel pan and modified interior to fit the 1/32 scale Home-Racing or Club Racing chassis. The car will be available December 15th. Custom options include Ortmann racing tires and extra traction magnet. Decals are supplied with car.

While maximum traction is obtained with the two-magnet configuration, we prefer to run the car with no traction magnets, a little added weight and Indy-Grip or Ortmann tires. All original cockpit, engine and gearbox details are retained. the front bumper offers strong impact protection to the body.
