As described by himself

I just finished building my 2nd TSR 1/24 car last night. This one is a Porsche 962, with the Coca-Cola Watkins Glen livery. I realize the the real car was painted an opaque-solid red, but I couldn't resist painting my little one a candy pearl red so it resembles the color of an actual can of Coke. |
|
The decals were applied on the inside of the Lexan body using micro-sol and micro set which makes them seat and stick to the Lexan as if painted on. All of the black vents and scoops were then painted on the inside as well. Then I sprayed the inside with Createx Translucent red (clear red). It actually looked kind of cool when it was at that stage as it was red but you could easily see thru it. Lastly, I shot it with Parma's FasKolor red pearl. This gives the car a candy red pearl look to it as the Parma pearl red paint looks a little too pinkish all by itself. |

I had to fabricate a dashboard and steering column just like I did on the Lancia as you would've seen the driver's feet just dangling in the air.

The rear spoiler was made from a scrap piece of Lexan as I needed it to be a little wider in order to fit the entire Coca-Cola decal. I used Flexi-Zap ( a flexible CA glue) to glue it on. |
Although the pictures look okay, IMHO the car actually looks a lot nicer in real life, and this is my favorite body that I painted so far.
| And we agree! Superb job on the finely-detailed TSR GTP body... |
