D3 2011   Hardbody Racing   Regulations

The D3 Board of Directors invites all other affiliates to submit their own racing calendar for publication herein. Publication of the rules shown below in other Forums is permitted by Slotblog! if unaltered, unless with approval of the relevant D3 Committee members.

D3 2011 1/24 Hard Body racing class rules (version V1, 06-01-09)

Body

1. May use any 1/24 – 1/25 scale, 1963 through 1973 trans-am eligible body style.
2. May flatten sides below body belt line.
3. May not alter wheel wells.
4. Lower edge of body may be trimmed to within 1/8” of door line.
5. Must have 3-D interior, chassis not visible through interior.
6. Must have kit front and rear bumpers unless supported by photo documentation
7. Aero devices from kit or scratch built to resemble real car (documentation may be requested
8. Must have front windshield and rear window
9. Body must cover chassis. No part of chassis may be visible from above

Chassis

1. Max chassis width 2.875”
2. Wheelbase to be determined by wheel wells in body. Complete wheel/tire assembly must be visible in wheel well at a point level with axle centerline
3. Tires
    - Tires must be inside of fenders.
    - .950” minimum rear tire diameter, maximum width .700”
    - .850” minimum front tire diameter, minimum width .225”
4. Any drive configuration is allowed (inline, sidewinder, angle-winder)
5. Ground clearance - .050”rear, .015”front, measured under axles

Motor

1. Must use single unmodified TSR-D3 or Falcon 7

Concours

1. Concours placing will determine lane choice.
