Happy ending to a Fly Gulf GT-40

OK...most people know about the screwed up Gulf GT-40 from
FLY that I have. To make a long story short, I got the replacement chassis
kindly supplied by Aaron for the Gulf GT-40 and ended up with what amounted to
a back room abortion by a cheesy doctor who lost his license.
Allow me to introduce myself...I'm Dr. Cheesy!
So not giving up...I bought a TSRF Chassis kit. Assembled it today and tested
it out. Cripes this thing is fast!

Test fit the GT-40 body...a lot of chassis pan all over the place...just did not look right. So out with the Dremel and a few cut off disks. | |

the result? My old track
record was 6.4 seconds...I just broke it...smoked it actually using only
the magnet that came with the chassis in the rear position...just over 5
seconds. Now I need some wheel inserts. Jeez this thing is fast...and handles WONDERFULLY! |
Brian, you will note that we are working on making Halibrand "GT40" inserts,
and many more. In the meantime, why not fitting a set of "American
Mag" inserts?
