32 New Bodies Soon To Be Released!

Expertly crafted by mater-modeler Lloyd Asbury of Lancer Bodies fame, the first two 32 bodies are now being finely detailed for release by March 1st. Below are sneak pictures of the test shots, molded in this color just because this is what was on the machine at time of forming... and also because my wife thinks that they are cute in pink...

These new bodies will also be released on the soon-to-be regular and High-Performance Ready-to-Race  versions of the 32 cars.

Closest is the  Speed-8 LMP of the 2002 Le Mans, behind is the  GT1, both shown without their wings. The bodies are clearly marked for perfect trimming, accomplished best with a belt sander for the base, and a 1/2" Dremel sanding drum to shape the wheel wells. These very thick .050" pulls do not show much fine details, but the production .015" Lexan or .025" PETG pulls will.

The Speed 8 body fits on the chassis set in "medium" (position B) wheelbase, and leaves plenty of clearance for the chassis in all directions. These bodies are very straight and show extremely accurate lines, not often seen on vacuum molded bodies...

The GT1 requires the front axle to be set in the most rearward position, with the steel pan fastened on "B" setting. Again, no clearance problems.

Fully-detailed interiors able to receive an injected full driver are being processed at this time, along with wings which will be fastened with a piece of formed wire.

All the bodies in both scales will have tiny conical pin marks for instant mounting with pins. Because of the conical shape of the marks, the pins will fit absolutely flush with the body, and can be color-coded to be virtually invisible. Both bodies clear the -legal 1/16" at the nose.
