IMCA NASCAR 24 test vehicle

In preparation for  IMCA's Aug 27- 31, 2003, 18th Nations Cup in Lede, Belgium,

the is constructing several test cars using injected Revell-Monogram bodies. This is the Dodge, just fitted to the test chassis, without details or interior. It will be brought to the 155-gram minimal weight and testing will follow.

The body mounts easily after a small amount has been shaved from the sides to make up for the steel pan thickness. The pin-mounting system is at present, illegal for use in the IMCA rules.
The 4.5" maximum wheelbase provided by the 24  chassis is a tad short for the body, but not by much. By summer, a bolt-on kit will be supplied, allowing longer wheelbases up to 5".

Mounting is very straightforward using the pins and the 's ABMT

(Automatic Body Mounting Tool). Ample room for full cockpit detailing is one of the

features of the 24 chassis.

Testing will be performed under the supervision of Chris Radisich, newly-elected

SoCal USRA President and IMCA's rep in the United States.
